Summary: In support of HVAC development programs, technician installs, tests, calibrates, and repairs electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards, by performing the following duties:
*Universal Refrigeration certification and training required.*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Conducts testing and calibration procedures per company standards in support of HVAC development programs as directed.
Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory instrumentation to test and evaluate HVAC equipment.
Analyzes, diagnosis and modifies systems to support extensive R & D programs with direction from senior staff members.
Proactively engages in safe working habits following the applicable standards.
Supports technical center initiatives by assisting with projects as assigned.
Maintains effective communication with project team to assure performance of duties.
Maintains cleanliness of work areas and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three years related experience required. Two year technical degree in a related field required.
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft word processing software and Excel spreadsheet software as well as Outlook and internet skills.
