Position Summary:
 
The Project Manager position requires a mature, passionate professional with a proven track record for delivering complex projects with diverse responsibilities on-time and on-budget, demonstrating leadership skills across multiple constituencies both internally, with other departments and externally with partners, suppliers, contractors, vendors and various public and municipal entities. 

This position will report to the VP Regulatory Policy & Interconnection and serve as the central point of contact and primary facilitator for scheduling and cross-departmental communications.  This individual will manage multiple project teams to accomplish and report status on project activities and to ensure results which meet Armstrong Corporate & State of New York Broadband Office expectations, while adhering to internal standards and guidelines. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of a highly visible and important project, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include corporate team projects, maintaining equipment inventory, and developing new ways of data and status reporting.  Constant interaction with internal staff, customers, and vendors.  This position will also at times play a role as a liaison between the customer and internal company departments.
  • Day travel: 10%
  • Overnight travel: 30%
  • Complex Problem Solving.
  • Perform other duties presented by the Vice President/General Manager of Business Services or other Executive Team Members.

Requirements:
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree required.
  • 5-7 years Project Management or related experience in the telecommunication and/or Cable Industry preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word & Microsoft Project
  • Multi-tasking capabilities essential.
  • Management of multifaceted project schedule and provide updates accordingly.
