Position Summary:

Armstrong is currently seeking Direct Sales Representative for our Outside Sales Department. You will promote Armstrong products and services including, but not limited to, EXP, Video, Zoom (High Speed) Internet, and Telephone. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality face to face in-home sales presentations to prospective and current Armstrong residential customers within a defined service area.
  • Identify customer needs, wants, and desires through discovery conversation and match with company products and diplomatically handle objections and interactions with potential customers.
  • Reconcile daily sales orders and keep documentation of sales orders.
  • Achieve established daily, weekly monthly sales goals and quotas.
  • Work independently to promote the sales of Armstrong residential products and services.
  • Schedule installation appointments for sales transacted within guidelines as set by local office.
  • Follow-up phone calls to prospective customers
  • Attend sales meetings in person and training sessions as required.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
 
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • A minimum high school diploma or GED, 2 years college, one year of proven sales experience; or equivalent combination of sales experience and college education preferred.
  • Stable work history.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, with good driving abstract, reliable transportation/vehicle and automobile insurance coverage.
  • Must have basic mathematical and computer skills.
  • Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions, walk for extended periods of time, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule (Monday – Saturday) - evening and weekend work required. 
  • Determination and drive to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Good business sense and a professional manner.
  • The resilience to deal with customers who turn you down.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication and people skills.
  • Ability to develop in-depth knowledge about our products and markets.
  • Maintain proper appearance/attitude at all times to represent Armstrong in the community.
